Learn modeling and sculpting from a young age! The traditional Chinese “MIANSU” modeling technique is an intangible cultural heritage. Nowadays people transfer this skill to high-end edible cake decoration and nonedible dough art sculpture. We are able to create theme-based characters in cartoons, movies, animes, and popular games. Students will work with our award-winning artists and learn fondant modeling with traditional MIANSU techniques for cake decorating fun, art portfolios for college, and art competitions. Cake Playhouse address: classroom in our store 18856 Norwalk Blvd, Artesia, CA 90701 Students will work on a real cake or cupcakes during a 2.5-hour class. The cake themes are different for each classes. Please be aware that there are NO make-ups or credits for missed classes for any reason. $100 cancellation fee before classes begin. Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas Cake Class

You will work together with our award-winning cake artist, learn fondant modeling skills on cake, and decorate your cupcake or cake project. We will create a different 3D character for each class, and we will save all the themed class sculptures for the final 2-tier holiday dinner cake assembling. Students who participate in a single class can still bring home amazing 3D fondant character sculptures on cupcakes or mini cakes during each class. Only students who participate in all 3 theme classes can get a 2-tier holiday cake as a reward. We will assemble all the fondant characters on the final cake project just before the holiday. It will be a big surprise for your whole family and show off at your holiday dinner party. Cake boxes are available to purchase on-site.

Parent & Child Cake Decorating Class

This is a teamwork of one parent and one kid(up to 8 years old). Team of a single student of one big kid, one teenager, or one adult is also welcome. Each team will decorate a pre-made cake. Team of 2 kids and team of 2 adults are not allowed. What’s Included: undecorated pre-made cake and all decorating materials. Free use of decorating tools. Date and time: please provide up to 3 time options of your availability when making the class reservation below. We will try our best to match your first time option. If you like, the cake box is available for purchase onsite for your finished cake.
